Sometimes railroader and aircraft worker. Starting a new job at Edwards AFB in California on 9 November as a DOD civilian employee.
Recent cancer survivor. Had a kidney removed because of it on 21 September. Kidney gone, Cancer gone. I do have an ugly mark on the belly, though!

Mojave Desert/Antelope Valley/California City/Edwards AFB and other sundrie items

I started last week as a crew chief in training at the 912 Maintenance Squadron. We maintain F-16s that are used for the testing of various things by the Air Force. We rented a house in California City. It is a bedroom community for the base. And it is in the Desert It is rather nice to be working again after having been laid off in February at Hawker Beechcraft in Wichita. The kidney cancer didn't make things any easier.
