Banned of Brothers in the Right Blogosphere
For those unaware, Flemming Rose is the Danish newspaper editor who ran the Mohammed cartoons
Being as I am a ‘gal’ full of “gall”. I give you the mo-toons (in all their glory) as they were published in Jyllands-Posten. The one, the only original publisher of the mo toons. From which all future insane whacked out Muslim (at times violent & murderous) outrage stemmed. Including the present case against Aleksandr Sdvizhkov.

Cartoon editor on trial in Belarus
On Friday the trial against Belarussian editor Aleksandr Sdvizhkov opened in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sdvizhkov, former deputy editor of the now closed independent weekly Zgoda, is charged with ”incitement to religious hatred” after having published the Danish Mohammed cartoons back in February 2006. If convicted Sdvizhkov can be sentenced from three to ten years in prison.
…The paper was closed down in March 2006 two days before the presidential election March 19 which paved the way for a third term for dictator Aleksandr Lukashenko. The cartoon affair was seen as a pretext for taking action against an outlet covering the candidate from the opposition.
So what do we have here? The infamous mo-toons are not only used as leverage against freedom of the press and speech. Further enabling their islamic sharia driven agenda. They are now being used as a political tool.
Enough is enough!
Let’s clear up this inane topic once and for all.
Is there an argument against Muslim outrage on depictions of Muhammad?
Why yes there is. “Forbidden” Images of Mohammed - Merely a Big Hoax? @ A Deeper Look
As more and more facts are coming to light, its becoming more and more obvious that Moslems have been creating images of Mohammed for centuries. Today’s “common knowledge” that Muslims are forbidden to make images of Mohammed appears to be yet another “urban legend”.
Undoubtedly some of the more extremist fundamentalist types believe it– but as the vast number of images throughout history shows, the prohibition against all images of Mohamed is quite obviously not an inherent part of Islam.
Krishna goes on to quote an article from the The Times (UK) An excerpt:
DESPITE the outcry, the Danish cartoons of Muhammad are just the latest in a long line of depictions of the Muslim prophet, both in the West and in Islamic countries. From Ottoman religious icons to market stalls in Iran, from the US Supreme Court building to the South Park cartoon, Muhammad has been frequently portrayed in flattering and unflattering lights.
Many painters, including William Blake, Gustave Doré, Auguste Rodin and Salvador DalÃ, have depicted Muhammad in illustrations of DanteÂ?s Inferno, where the Muslim prophet ends up in Hell with hentirelyils hanging out.
An extremely eye opening comment was left on Krishna’s article too!
The Muslim blogger “Iraq The Model” writes:
“You know that those cartoons were published for the 1st time months ago and we here in the Middle East have tonnes of jokes about Allah, the prophets and the angels that are way more offensive, funny and obscene than those poorly-made cartoons, yet no one ever got shot for telling one of those jokes or at least we had never seen rallies and protests against those infidel joke-tellers.
My oh my! What say you appeasers and apologetics in the West? Hello! Will you continue to bow down? Or will will you see things as they
really are?!

By the way, ‘Zombie Time’ has documented several examples of Muhammad art throughout the ages. Mohammed Image Archive
Depictions of Mohammed Throughout History
The Mohammed Image Archive is a compendium of images that depict Mohammed (the 7th-century founder of Islam), spanning all historical periods, cultures and genres.
The inspiration for this Archive came from the global controversy over the publication of Mohammed cartoons in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, and the need for a comprehensive and even-handed look at the wide variety of Mohammed depictions in Islamic and Western societies from the Middle Ages until today. It will remain online as a resource for those interested in freedom of expression. (Please note that the Arabic name “Mohammed” has over the years been transliterated into Western languages with several different spellings — some of which you’ll encounter on this site — including Mahomet, Muhammad, and Mohamed.)

Radical Danish imams have deliberately incited hatred against Denmark, the country that had hospitably welcomed them in. To this end, while on a visit to Arab countries last month, they added three false, extremely offensive Muhammad “cartoons” to the twelve relatively mild ones published by Jyllands-Posten last September [see the latter here, halfway down the page].
One of the three additional cartoons [we linked to them in this article], which the imams distributed on a faxed image of appalling quality, was said to be a depiction of Muhammad with a pigsnout. When the Danish press discovered the three false so-called Danish cartoons, the imams refused to say where they had got them. They claimed, however, that the false cartoons were genuinely Danish and had been added to “give an insight in how hateful the atmosphere in Denmark is towards Muslims.”
I found this interesting because of the four religions in this top 20 list, only Islam’s outrage has resulted in death.
Here’s the tally,
* Christianity, blasphemed 13 times, zero deaths. * Buddhism, blasphemed once, zero deaths.
* Sikhs, blasphemed once, zero deaths.
* Islam, blasphemed 5 times, 140 deaths.
and The List of Things That Offend Muslims
The intent of the list is to illustrate the futility of the multicultural approach to Islam. Sharia law demands submission not only from Muslims, but from non-Muslims as well. This makes respectful coexistence nearly impossible with Muslims in Infidel lands. The examples below serve as reminder that submitting to one complaint or another only emboldens Muslims to seek to further their ultimate goal of establishing sharia.
The West needs to come to grips with this fact and start standing up for our God-given rights of free speech, free expression and freedom of religion, lest we surrender those rights to a theocratic movement bent on removing our Constitutional freedoms that we hold dear. In this case, our tolerance will lead to intolerance.
